Stephen Stills Prostate Cancer Results - Good News Thus Far

According to the Associated Press and a report issued today by the Herald Tribune, Stephen Stills will be released from the hospital on Saturday following successful surgery for prostate cancer. A quote listed in the article reads as follows:

“Stephen is still in the hospital and will be released tomorrow. … But, he is doing extremely well. Doctors wanted to keep him in for an extra night,” publicist Michael Jensen said Friday.

Stills, of Crosby, Stills & Nash (and sometimes with Neil Young), had the operation Thursday in Los Angeles, his wife Kristen said in a statement.

“Stephen’s procedure went remarkably well and he couldn’t be better,” she said.

As someone who has recovered from prostate cancer, I know first hand what Still recovery will be like. While it won’t be easy at first, I found that recovery was much quicker that I imagined. Hopefully Stills will experience the same speedy recovery and be cancer free so he’ll be able to continue his North American solo tour this summer.

I have been reading a lot about Prostate Cancer symptoms since Stephen Stills took ill. I was astounded to find out it is the deadliest form of cancer in the U.S. More needs to be done.
